I know everyone says this is pretty much the bible on fertility issues and whatnot. But, I do not like that book at all! Am I the ONLY one? I felt the advice was very generic and applied to the “typical” woman. Well, I wasn’t – I never got EWCM, I never got BBT that was ovulatory (turned out I had a cortisol problem and I WAS ovulating) etc etc. I was charting my fertility before trying. Well, after doing this and reading the book I was freaked about fertility issues because I didn’t seem normal. Well, it didn’t take me long at all to conceive. Did anyone else feel that way about that book or do I seem to be the only person that dislikes her book?

By the way – I also am not a fan of her telling women to put raw egg whites in their vagina as a means of mimicking EWCM. To me, even if you are sanitary about it and try to avoid contaminating the whites with salmonella, it just doesn’t seem like a great idea. Pre-seed is a good alternative.

I read a little bit of it just to learn about the EWCM, and it worked for me. I got pregnant right away. A friend of mine had been trying for 2 years with no luck, and I gave her the book and she learned about when she was fertile and she got pregnant right away. I thought this was great and the book was really helpful to her.
