Can you use a clearblue easy monitor to test for Ovulation even if the test icon is not lit up?
I took clomid this cycle day to 5-9 and the doctor said to start test for Ovulation around cycle day 12 so I set the monitor but haven’t tested and am on cycle day 10 so no test strip is being requested. What I need to know is if I pee on a stick and insert it in to the monitor will it still read the results or should I go out and buy some of the other kind of opk’s?

Do you mean the Clearblue Fertility Monitor (that’s what its called in the UK – I presume its the same thing). I don’t know but knowing how the Monitor works, I would imagine you can only use it when it requests a test. With a separate OPK you can test when YOU want to test, so I would invest in some separate ones of those. You can still carry on using your Monitor every day. The OPKs will just give you additional info. You may find that when you do a separate test on your ‘High’ fertility days, you may pick up the LH surge by doing an OPK on the same day, if you do the OPK in the afternoon. This is because the LH surge is already in your blood but does not enter your urine for 5-6 hours later, hence why it wouldn’t pick it up on the Monitor in the morning test.
